Yes, you can claim with your private health fund, if you are covered for remedial massage. Massage by Jess is registered with Massage and Myotherapy Association, you may absolutely claim a rebate. You will have to check your coverage to determine the rebate you receive, which is often a dollar amount rebate or a percentage rebate.

  • Do you have a HICAPS Machine?

Massage by Jess does NOT have a HICAPS machine. However, you can still make a claim with your provider with the digital invoice that we will send out to you after your treatment.

  • What methods of payment are accepted?

We prefer cash as we do not have a credit card facility yet. We can also organise a bank transfer if need be.

  • Can I exercise after my Massage?

We ask that you allow your body to assimilate the changes in your body for the next 24hrs by avoiding heavy exercise. Often we are living in a very fast paced world, and a massage acts as a speed hump to slow us down. When our mind and body relaxes, this allows our nervous system to rest and rejuvenate. Participating in strenuous activity shortly after a massage can often reduce your recovery process.

  • What can I expect from a Massage by Jess?

At Massage by Jess, you can always count on a quality massage, that is personalised for your body’s needs. You will be listened to, assessed with what your body needs and also given corrective steps to help improve any postural imbalances.

At Massage by Jess, you are welcome to share what your health goals are, so we can best choose the massage to help achieve them. We also believe that reaching optimal levels of health are best realised when you not only address your musculoskeletal system, but also your rest, diet, emotional and mental habits.

Our room is warm, welcoming, clean and towels and sheets are changed after every client. You will always receive a massage whereby your therapist is present with you, focused and able to bring you into more balance.

If it is your first massage ever, please let Jess know, and she will put in extra effort to check in and make sure you are comfortable and enjoying the massage.

POLICIES

We understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life.  In our desire to be effective and fair to all clients & massage therapists the following policies are honored:

CANCELLATION POLICY

Our cancellation policy is in place to provide clients with access to appointments when they need them. We kindly ask that if you do wish to reschedule, to please do so with at least 24hrs of notice of your appointment. Last minute cancellations and no shows not only affect the therapist, but also take away another person’s opportunity to be treated. By giving appropriate notice of more than 24hrs, it allows us to offer that time to someone else who may be in need.

If you are unable to provide notice of your cancellation 24 hrs in advanced, you will be charged the full amount of your appointment. This amount must be paid in full within 30 days of the invoice or you will not be able to book in again. If you do not pay the invoice on time, it will be forwarded to a debt collection agency.

NO-SHOWS

Forgetting or choosing not to arrive for your appointment will be considered a ‘no show’. All ‘no shows’ will incur a full cancellation fee, and will be invoiced for the full amount of the treatment booked.  All invoices from Massage by Jess require the full payment to be made within a 30 day period. If you do not pay the invoice on time, you will not be able to access any more treatments with Massage by Jess and your information will be forwarded to a debt collection agency

BEING ON TIME

Out of respect for everyone’s schedules, we please ask you to arrive on time. Please be considerate of your therapist and the next customers following your treatment, by running on time. If you arrive late, please understand that your treatment may be shortened to ensure the following appointments run on time. Even though your treatment time may be shortened due to you arriving late, you will still be required to pay the full amount of your treatment.

Please note that special provisions may be provided due to special unforeseen circumstances.
